11-05-07, 10:02 AM Hey guys, my groups got an argument going at the moment...
We've got a fighter with power attack and leap attack. strength 22, using a longaxe(PH2, acts like a greataxe versioon of reed richards) We're not sure how to work out the triple damage from leap attack....
i.e. - if he takes a -2penalty normally, he gets +4 damage, but when he leap attacks, does he get +6 total, or is it more? because leap attack says you triple the bonus damage from power attack, so some of us are hoping it's more.... as in +4 becomes +12...
Yes, I know its a stupid question, but if it helps us argue less, you know?! Thanks in advance, you guys....

Leap attack tripled (notice the past tense) the damage from power attack in the sense that instead of +4 it was +6 (not +12). That is, the trade off became 1-for-3 instead of 1-for-2 with 2-handed weapons. It has now been slightly changed.

Here's the errata

If you cover at least 10 feet of horizontal distance with
your jump, and you end your jump in a square from
which you threaten your target, you deal +100% the
normal bonus damage from your use of the Power
Attack feat.

That mean you trade 1 points of AB for +2 points of damage with 1-handed weapon, and 1-for-4 with 2-handed (so in your example it deals an additionnal +8 damage from power attack).

11-06-07, 09:40 AM Gentlemen, I thank you. I just got an adamantine razorsharp +1 keen sizing collision longaxe, with the phoenix ash threat augment crystal.... and some gloves that let me wield large weapons.... and a wand of enlarge person... I'm going to go jump at stuff now!!!!
