Ok for the first feat.

Cover Up: There should be a penalty for using this feat. Either forfet of AC bonus until start of next round, or lower intitive starting in next round. After all you are ducking behind your shield. It takes a few secs to gather your position.

Redoubt: Not sure which of your off-hand attacks are taken away from this. By this I mean, IF I have already attacked this round with all attacks can I not use this feat, or tose that mean I can't attack next round. Plus I think the shield should take full damage. After all it is taking the hit.

Quickstep: Depending on how redoubt is done in my above question, this could be broken. I block, move, attack. All as a free action, and at 6th level.

i understand what your over all effect is going for. The Roman warrior, which is cool. I just think a few things are over powered, or could be depending on you game.

I would specify if cover up works on bucklers or not.

Maybe work it so tower shield gives 100% cover, heavy gives 75% light gives 50% and bucklers give 25%.

other than that they look like they are good.

mine is only a suggestion really, yours looks good as is.

The reason you don't take full damage when using redoubt is because you're the one controling the strike, not the opponent, so you would maybe turn the shield slightly so it didn't take the full force of the blow.

I thought the wording was pretty clear, it would count against the number of attacks you can make the following round.

It only works against reach weapons, however i should clarify that so it only a 5-foot step.

Centurian can be taken by any class so long as they invest the proper feats.
however Elite Centurian can ONLY be taken by fighters, hence the [Elite] tag.

I appreciate your Imput.

I agree with your logic on the sheild block.

So long as it is reach weapons and not opponents with reach(large creatures) then I dont see a problem with that since it is situational.

Question 2 about redoubt.
Lets so I get two off hand attacks. I go first and attack with everything. Opponent or opponents attack me and I parry (or attempt) with my sheild two attacks. next round I can not attack with my off hand weapon, but I can still parry and just not attack in the 3rd round?

Question 3:
Do you have to declare that you are parring with your sheild before you know if the attack attempt was successeful?

I only ask because I think it could be a cool feat, and just want to clear up a few things.

Thats exactly how redoubt works.

you can parry after you know the result of your opponents attack roll, I think an experienced fighter knows when he's about to get hit which is why he uses the shield instead of dodging the blow or letting his armor take care of it

I'm thinking about adding tha if your opponent attacks with a natural weapon and you parry it having them take damage from your shield spike, without str mod, but it would only apply to a spike, not the bashing enhancement.

Ok thanks for clearing up my questions.

I might offer it to my players. Not sure yet. I am leary of bringing in non-WotC feats, spells, and classes. Mainly for a balance issue, and if I let one in I would have people wanting to bring others in. But I do like this one.

Redoubt: Perfect as is, I'd say. Clear up the wording and you're good to go.

Cover Up: I would add in that you lose the shield's AC bonus for that round, and also, what kind of action is it? Swift, immediate? I'd go with immediate myself.

Quick-Step: I would specify under Quick-Step how much of a move you could make when being attacked by an opponent with a reach weapon. If its more than a 5-foot step, I'd say that you would be unable to make the attack, IMO. Also, having that attack count against your attacks of opportunity would be a good idea. As is, it's kinda iffy on what you can and can't do with it. If I get attacked by a giant with a reach weapon, do I get to move all the way through his threatened squares without provoking AoOs and attack him?

As far as Elite Centurion goes, I'd say its a bit powerful, but not uber. 12th-level fighter with this feat, just about right for power-level.

Cover-up is passive and requires no action, there is no reason to lose your shield bonus to AC, if a Fighter can move his shield one way(Improved Shield Bash), then there is no reason that using it in a more defensive manner should rob him of his protection.

I appreciate your Imput on the matter.

I disagree, if a fighter is using his shield to block something that would require a Reflex save, he's moving it out of the way in order to use it for something other than his personal defense, hence losing the AC bonus.

But using a shield to hit someone moves it away from the defensive position and into an offensive position, by this logic a fighter who uses his shield to bash should lose its bonus to AC, and he does, If the Fighter is not Elite enough.

Think about it like this, the fighter is using the shield as a buffer to delay the effect long enough for him to take evasive action, now this fighter is Elite, he didn't move the shield in such a manner that he couldn't quickly either move it back to its defensive position, or move himself back in line with the shield.

There, a comprimise, you lose your shield bonus to AC only if you fail the save.

Sounds good to me. I definitely like the feats, the flavor of it is really cool too.

Great job :)
