| Lindorie06-18-07, 03:13 PM | hello. I just wanted to know if there is a fast way for a spellcaster to raise his spell DC.(Our DM has a little overpowerfull NPCs that easily surpass the necessary saving throw) I play a Dread Necromancer. Base Charisma 20 and with the feat Arcane prodigy ( i think - FR) Spell focus, greater spell focus and i am 8 lvl |
| Big_Mac06-18-07, 03:30 PM | Potion of eagle;s splendor gives you a +4 to you charisma which would give you another +2 to your DC. |
| SageBahamut06-18-07, 03:33 PM | There really is no good RAW-legal way to improve spell-save DCs. You're better off sticking to spells that don't allow saves. |
| RealSorceror06-18-07, 03:41 PM | Are you allowed to use Unearthed Arcana or Oriental Adventures? If so, find the rules on Taint. Become tainted. Take levels in Tainted Sorceror or Maho-Tsukai. Have fun. :D |
| Kouk06-18-07, 03:47 PM | Aside from boosting your main stat and taking the Spell Focus line, all I can suggest is you use Heighten on your lower level spells if you want to be using those. And mention that you feel the enemy saves are unnaturally high, and it is reducing your fun. |
| tarkin06-18-07, 03:56 PM | That is bullcrap. There are TONS of good raw ways to increase your saves. But they are expensive. If want something for nothing, go elsewhere. But if you are willing to pay for it then try this: Spell Focus feat Greater Spell Focus feat. Other feats, often elemental based. Some, but not all stack with regular Spell Focus Spell Power. some prestige classes up the DC with an ability called Spell power. Note, some of them (but not all of them) had this ability removed in errata. Double check it. Raise your stat every chance you get. Headband of Intellect/periapht of Wisdom, etc. Wish yourself an inherent stat bonus Every four levels you can boost a stat. |
