| VBakes03-29-07, 12:19 PM | Now, Im trying to remember how exactly how iajutsu focus works. I know that its result increases damage but Im not sure by how much. Also I want to know if now if its a class skill for samurai. Any help would be appreciated. |

I don't have OA in front of me, but if I remember correctly, it worked something like this: If you quick draw your weapon and attack an opponent in the first round of combat you do extra damage based on a skill check. For every 5 points you roll on your skill check, you do an extra 1d6 points of damage. Not sure about the specifics though. |

That's pretty close ... we can't give too much detail, though, due to the fact that OA isn't open-source material. Iajutsu Focus is not part of the new CW Samurai and does not officially exist outside of Oriental Adventures campaigns. |

That's pretty close AFAIR, but it should be noted that the damage cap is +9d6 and that a higher modifier is only relevant in an iajutsu duel (described in detail in OA), where it can serve as your initiative score. |
