| BloodDragon05-10-07, 01:57 PM | Imbue Staff is in Dragon Mag 338, though I swear it was reprinted in one of the official books. Imbue Staff is a Familiar replacement variant. I've have some questions regaurding the varient mostly because I'm thinking of playing a muti-class Cleric/Soc. So I've had some questions regaurding the "Improvement" feat that you can take with this staff. 1: The Prerequisite for the Imbue staff feats simple says Caster level X. Can this "Caster level" requirement be achieved by any Caster class? Or must it be a Wiz / Sor? 2a: Would the Practised spell caster feat allow your familiar / Imbued staff to consider your wizard / sorc 4 levels higher then you actually are, there by granting your the appropriate higher level familiar bonuses? 2b: Would the Practised Spell Caster feat allow you to qualify for other feats which require a minimum caster level in general? I’m aware Practised Spell Caster does not increase your caster level above your HD. |

Practised Spell caster does not affect familiar levels. It only affects casting level with regards to things like per level effects. No, it should not increase your caster level for the purpose of Imbued Staffs. 2b. as per 2a., Practised spell caster does not qualify you for things. It only works certain spell variables and for SR. No other thing. |
