I guess there's no official errata or even FAQ material on the Imbued Summoning feat from PHB2. At least I can't find anything. Has anybody heard something from customer service regarding the feat though? Does it affect all monsters summoned with a spell or just one? I'm not really fishing for people's opinions on this, just for answers anybody may have receieved from WotC.

The wording of the feat implies it would only apply to one summoned creature, but I think the feat is vague and kind of poorly written. In particular, one of the spells it uses as an example, Bull's Strength, provides the same +4 enhancement bonus to Str that the prerequisite feat Augment Summoning does. It wouldn't be useful at all to imbue this spell onto a summoned creature...

If nobody knows anything I guess I'll look up the e-mail address for the Sage.

I would assume that the effect applies to as many of the summoned creatures as the imbued spell could normally target. The feat doesn't say that or anything, but that is what makes sense to me.

If you get an answer from Customer Service, let me know, I'm trying to collect these things for a quasi-official errata.

Imbued Summoning

Benefit: When you cast a spell from the summoning subschool, you can choose to grant the summoned creature the benefit of any spell of 3rd level or lower you can cast that has a range of touch. You cast the spell you wish to grant the creature (using a prepared spell or a spell slot) at the same time you cast your summoning spell. The creature gains the benefit of the spell when it appears.
An imbued summoning spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than the spell's actual level.

Reread the bold text, you are actually casting the spell, so therefore unless it is a spell that can affect multiple creatures, then it only affects one.

I agree.

You cast the spell, it affects the number of creatures you can affect.

My question is whether or not SR would apply to the imbued spell. Say I attempt to augment a celestial or fiendish creature with a Bull's Strength spell. That spell has Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless). Do I have to check SR to see if the spell actually affects him or does the bold text override that?

Even though you are casting the spell, you are not specifically casting it on the creature. The spell to be imbued must have a range of Touch, but nothing say that the creature had to be summoned adjacent to you, so would the SR entry be similarly ignored.
