| Majick08-26-07, 11:08 AM | that's... actually pretty much it. You still get TWF penalties. Sadly. Makes no sense really, but yeah: -4/-4 if you got a regular melee weapon (longsword, axe, mace etc.) and a heavy shield There's a feat in PHB2 that lowers it to -2/-2 when using a shield, but seriously, take Oversized TWF and it does the same thing. You can take more from the TWP skill tree (more attacks with more feats) and if you don't want a shield anymore for a while you can get rid of it, replace it with a longsword, and it's the same penalties. The one from PHB2 sucks now that i think about it... get Oversized Two Weapon Fighting :D |
| AtsuiShoto08-26-07, 02:52 PM | The PHB2 feat is excellent for someone who can't afford to attain 15 Dexterity for TWF. I'm aware that 40+ point buys are in vogue, but MANY fighters just can't manage a 15 Dex, and won't get much of an AC bonus from it anyway (with their heavy, non-mithral armor). |
