Does anyone know if Improved Precise Shot also allows you to apply Precision Damage vs. opponents who would normally have cover or concealment?

Is there any errata, FAQ, etc. that addresses this?

Thanks in advance.

Only if the opponent is denied dex, you can hit vital areas, and your within 30ft. Other contributing factors may still ignore SA.

Actually it's for Skirmish damage... I just want to know if I can throw javelins while moving behind cover like overgrowth and trees (and ignoring the cover's effect on my own attacks w/ Improved Precise shot).

Normally you can't get precision damage (Sneak, Skirmish, Sudden, etc) vs. opponents w/ cover or concealment... but Improved precise shot allows you to ignore anything but total... so I think that means you also can do precision damage, but I was wondering if there was a rulling or other disscussion on this.

You must be able to see the vital areas regardless (Sneak, Skirmish, Sudden, etc). Even though he has cover you maybe able to see vital areas. In concealment if you can't fully see the person or vital areas then you can't (Sneak, Skirmish, Sudden, etc). Regardless of Improved PS.

So what was, so hard about the first explaination?
