I'm creating a Dwarven Ranger who will two wepon fight with a dwarven waraxe and a sheild. Here's my delima on the one hand Improved Shield Bash lets me keep my sheild AC bonus, on the other hand Armor Profientcy Medium will let me wear heavyier armor which won't effect my speed because hey! I'm a dwarf. I'll probably use a light sheild because -4 penalty to hit for a heavy sheild is a bit more then I'm willing to put up with. What do you all think? |

If you also get the feat Oversized Two Weapon Fighting, you can use a Heavy Shield and only take the standard -2 penalty to hit instead of the -4. |

I'd alway consider the Urgoth when playing a dwarf ranger but if not then I'd see if I can exchange that exotic double weapon familiarity with a dwarven bucker found in the Complete Warrior. |
