Improving a breath weapon [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-01-07, 12:23 PM Is there a feat that gives a half dragon more uses of his breath weapon per day? If so what's it called and where might I find it? Thanks in advance! :D

04-01-07, 12:38 PM You have a couple options:

Half_Dragon Parago give +2 uses per day at level 3.

There is also a feat in the Races of Dragon book that allows +1 Breath per day.

04-01-07, 01:05 PM There is also a feat in Races of the Dragon that lets a Half-Dragon use its breath weapon unlimited times per day. It's completely insane, but its there. Makes you wonder why they even wasted 2 inches of text on the other feat that only gives you 1 more use per day (granted, for all dragonblooded creatures...but how many dragonblooded creatures that aren't Half-Dragon have breath weapons 1/day?)

04-01-07, 01:09 PM It requires lvl 6, though. It's not insane imo, if anything the 1/day breath weapon is a bit meh considering what other +3 templates can give you.

However, I wish they would make the weapon scaling, like 1d8+1d8/ 2 levels, rounding down (i.e. 1d8 at lvl 1, 2d8 at lvl 2, 3d8 at lvl 4, etc). As it is, a 1st leve half-white dragon commoner has a more powerful weapon than an adult white dragon. Go figure.
