Ecalsneerg 01-28-08, 07:06 PM	I know CW has a feat improving your amount of damage reduction (i.e. 5/silver to 6/silver) But if there any offical way to improve the 'type' of DR (i.e. DR 5/magic or silver to DR 5/magic AND silver, or somesuch)

narack 01-29-08, 08:24 AM	i doubt you will found any feat that increase special DR but for DR/- there is 2 feat that i know off. - Epic DR, Prerequisite Con 21, 3/- - Improved Damage reduction, Prerequisite Con 17, 2/- take a fighter and burn 2-3 feat in the improved and later in epic get the Con requirement and take the other one couple times.
Tordak 01-30-08, 08:30 AM	Don't know of such feat, you'll probably have to find a different source of DR to get that or invent such a feat. As for DR/- feat (as mention by narack), there's also - Roll with it (DR2/-, pre: con 20, toughness, stacks; from Savage Species) - 'something' blow ('endure blow' I think, or som'ing similar) : same thing, pre:con19, toughness, dragon (it's from Draconomicon, not sure the exact name anymore but you need to be a dragon (type)). Thicken skin (Savage Species) also helps. Pre : DR x/type as an ability (racial, class feature, etc). Ben : DR becomes x+2/type (so DR 5/silver becomes 7/silver). Can be taken multiple times, stack up to twice the original value of the DR (so taken 3 times with DR 5/silver would grant and additonnal +6, which would be limited to +5 for a final amount of DR 10/silver).
Obsidianjaerc 01-30-08, 09:15 AM	Muddling around with the transformational rules in Save Species, or casting an Epic spell with the Transorm (and possibly Fortify) seed are the only ways to achieve this with WotC books.
Black Mantha 01-30-08, 06:36 PM	Well, if you stretch the definition a bit, you can "improve" DR 5/magic by getting DR 5/silver too. The end result is DR 5/magic and silver.
