| shogunboy03-17-07, 10:14 PM | I saw a feat for mages that can use Int modifier to determine hp instead of Con. I seen it from Dragon 319, but I seen another one similar to this called Mine over Body. If this exist, which book would it be in? |
| inspectr8803-17-07, 10:21 PM | I think there's a feat that lets you use Int instead of Con for HP, only at first level, though. I'm also basing this off of NWN2. |
| Grod_The_Giant03-17-07, 10:27 PM | If such a feat existed, Wizards would get a *huge* advantage. Think about it. |
| runestar03-17-07, 10:38 PM | The mind over body regional feat from PGTF does let you use your cha or int mod to determine your bonus hp instead of con at 1st lv only. It also grants a few other minor benefits, such as +1 insight AC and +1hp/metamagic feat.:) |
| Kursk03-17-07, 11:42 PM | I saw a feat for mages that can use Int modifier to determine hp instead of Con. I seen it from Dragon 319, but I seen another one similar to this called Mine over Body. If this exist, which book would it be in? It's right next to the one that lets fighters use Str instead of Int to determine skill point bonuses. |
| Feroz03-17-07, 11:50 PM | It's right next to the one that lets fighters use Str instead of Int to determine skill point bonuses. Which, as it is, isn't all that bad. <.< Fighters get jack as it is, a few more skill points to spend on their incredibly limited skill selection is nowhere near as potent as letting a mage base their HP off their casting stat. Or their casting stat off of con, for that matter, 3.0 kineticists, anyone? |
| maskimus03-18-07, 01:41 PM | How about everybody gets additional skill point for every atribute, but the points can only be applied to skills that use that atribute. eg. Str- Climb, Jump, Swim; Dex- Hide, Move Silently, Use Rope... |
| Lia Nightdemon03-21-07, 07:23 PM | my DM let me use the feat Mind over body (FR 3.0 verison) and he misread it to having it work every level. SO I had lots of hp as a psion shaper :) |
| kelvinaw27303-21-07, 09:04 PM | I have to say that a feat allowing characters with high wisdom to use it for their skills at level one would not be an unreasonable advantage. |
| Optimator03-22-07, 04:59 AM | The only thing like that is probably the undead cha->hp thingy. |
| Kursk03-22-07, 05:07 PM | If such a feat existed, Wizards would get a *huge* advantage. Think about it. But you counter it by using the Str as Int Feat for fighters... :D |
| Neutronium_Dragon03-22-07, 05:43 PM | Using your Int as a modifier at 1st level only is, at 1st level, equal to or a little better than Toughness. Toughness, regarded as one of the weakest feats out there, and you're only doing as well or slightly better than it. Even with the increase of Int mod at higher levels, you're still likely to be behind what Improved Toughness would have given you at that level. It's hardly an overpowering benefit. |
| kelvinaw27303-22-07, 07:56 PM | But you counter it by using the Str as Int Feat for fighters... :D Mind Over Body has some rationale to it. Where does the rationale for Str as Int for skills come from? |
