| KIDS10-12-07, 09:12 AM | Hi everyone! I have a problem with interaction of Lingering Song (Complete Adventurer - Feat) and Masterwork Horn (Complete Adventurer - special equipment). I did several searches in various forums about those two but nothing came up on either. Here is the text of the two: MWK Horn: Masterwork Horn: When a bard plays a horn to inspire courage, it raises the morale bonus on weapon damage rolls and saves against fear by 1, but the effect lasts for only 1 round after hearing the ally perform. Lingering Song: your bardic music stays with the listeners long after the last note has faded away. If you use bardic music to inspire courage, greatness or heroics, the effect lasts for 1 minute after an inspired ally stops hearing you play. For reference, the character in question, a 1st/soon to be 2nd level elf bard, can be found here (http://p197.ezboard.com/fd20worldofgreyhawkfrm83.showMessage?top icID=749.topic). Which of these effects overrides the other, or they settle at a compromise of 2 rounds (double of 1 round), 5 rounds (half of extended duration), 5 rounds (normal song duration as a compromise) etc... how long does the bard song's effect last after all? Is there any official ruling about this? Your help would be most appreciated. Thanks! |
