Is there a feat or a skill trick that allows a caster to intimidate as a part of casting a spell? I seem to remember seeing one in one of my books, but of course now that I need it, I can't find it.

Well, intimidating during combat takes a standard action, but there is an Extraordinary Ability called Rapid Intimidation which allows you to use a move action instead. In a RAW sense I think that would work.

Personally as a DM though I would probably allow an intimidate check while casting without it, just because the flair a caster puts into their spell could vary without it affecting the spell anyhow. So why not appear scary and intimidating while doing it? :)

There is a melee feat that allows an Intimidation check in conjunction with a melee attack called Intimidating Strike, pg 79 phb II

I'm not familiar with one for casting but the one above could be tweaked into caster form.

You could try the Frightful Presence feat in the Draconomicon (not to be confused with the Awaken Frightful Presence feat in the same book). It's effectively a mass intimidate check whenever you attack. Not as potent as a true dragon's frightful presence, but it's still pretty good.
