Martial Stance. In order to do it, though, you'd need three feats: Martial Study (Shadow Hand) - gain Hide as a class skill, learn a Shadow Hand maneuver that you meet the IL and maneuver prerequisites for; can use this maneuver once per encounter. Martial Stance (Shadow Hand) - Learn any one stance you qualify for from Shadow Hand. Shadow Blade. Do note that you have an IL of 1/2 your HD (that is, if you're a 6th level monk, according to table 3-1, you can learn maneuvers as a 3rd level martial adept, thus 2nd level maneuvers), and you must meet maneuver requirements as well. This prevents you from cherrypicking the best maneuvers and stances in general. It's honestly easier, most of the time, to take two levels in Swordsage (I'd suggest 1, but 2 would let you get stances above 1st level, including Assassin's Stance). This gets you more maneuvers, a lot of skills, Wisdom-to-AC, and a recovery system for your maneuvers. |
