| Xavorin05-23-07, 04:11 PM | Well, I figured it would be fun to start this thread. Bascially, if you're ever wondering if there's a feat for something want, or if you're wondering where it is, or both, post here. (Note: Don't ask for a feat's actual info. That stuff's copy-righted.) I'll start of with a couple. Is there any feat that lets you wield a weapon innapropriately (spelled right?) sized for you without any penalty? For example, is there a feat that would let a Human Paladin wield a large bastard sword with no penalty, even in one hand? Also, is there a feat that lets you carry a tower shield but have no penalties on attack rolls? (A tower shield gives a -2 penalty on attack rolls because of its cumbersomeness.) If there is such a feat, I'd just like to know where it is. Hope this thread is of use to people! |

For example, is there a feat that would let a Human Paladin wield a large bastard sword with no penalty, even in one hand? No. That's what Monkey Grip is for. Without the -2 penalty to hit, this feat would become superior to Weapon Specialization and have easier prereqs. Also, is there a feat that lets you carry a tower shield but have no penalties on attack rolls? (A tower shield gives a -2 penalty on attack rolls because of its cumbersomeness.) So far as I know, no. It would be a pretty big boost to your AC to not have any penalty associated with it... |
| OrganicAngelAlexiel05-23-07, 08:38 PM | No. That's what Monkey Grip is for. Without the -2 penalty to hit, this feat would become superior to Weapon Specialization and have easier prereqs. Actually, CW, epic feat: Wield Oversized Weapon, requires monkey grip |
| WolfHati05-23-07, 08:47 PM | So far as I know, no. It would be a pretty big boost to your AC to not have any penalty associated with it... Then again it would require two feats... as it is there's not really any reason why someone would ever want tower shield proficiency oven combat expertise. |
| DX205205-23-07, 10:18 PM | Are there any feats for additional doge AC bonus giveing feats besides doge? are there any feats that work when useing no armour but don't work when using light armour. |
| RobbyPants05-24-07, 09:45 AM | Actually, CW, epic feat: Wield Oversized Weapon, requires monkey grip I never run epic campaigns, so I keep forgetting about those... :) |
| Peregrine_Wolf05-24-07, 11:39 AM | Feats that replace Dodge... I only know of Expeditious Dodge in Races of the Wild. It's basically Dodge for mobile players. Also counts as Dodge for anything that requires Dodge to do, such as other feats and some PrC's. Mobility also gives you Dodge bonuses, and if you fly, then teh Aerial feats from Races of the Wild give you fun Dodge stuff. :smirk: :w00t: |

| Xavorin05-24-07, 04:12 PM | I'm going to do my best to kill this thread: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lists/feats So... why? How am I supposed to know that there's something like that? I don't spend my entire life looking into every nook and crannie of the WOTC page. |
| Dead_Weasel05-24-07, 06:23 PM | While the Consolidated Lists are somewhat crannied, they have appeared on the News and Additional Articles sections of the main site several times, presumably so that people know about them. They are also easily the most useful item in the Tools nook, which has a link you should see on the left of the screen. Right next to the die-rolling utility. Which, despite its prominent placement, likely is not common knowledge either. Also, why are you complaining about having a resource pointed out to you? |

Sorry if it seemed that way. It seemed like he was pointing it out just so the thread would die. |
| Vegepygmy05-24-07, 08:32 PM | It seemed like he was pointing it out just so the thread would die. It's understandable that it seemed that way to you, but I assure you I wasn't pointing it out just so the thread would die. I was merely being flippant in the way I pointed out that the information you seek is readily available. |
| Sugrim05-25-07, 12:26 PM | Forgive my noob-ness but, is there a feat like the Thicket of Blades Stance (ToB)? And what book is it in? Thanks, Sugrim |
| RobbyPants05-25-07, 12:30 PM | So... why? How am I supposed to know that there's something like that? I don't spend my entire life looking into every nook and crannie of the WOTC page. I found it by simply doing a Google search with the words: feat list (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=feat+list). It came up as the first result. Not too hard. :P Granted, the list is fairly vague (as most of these feats aren't OGL), so it's quite possible to entirely miss that the feat you're looking for is on that list... |
