Is there a poison resist feat? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I realize already that Great Fortitude is much more versatile than a poison resistance feat. But is there a feat that could further improve saves vs. poison? Or even a poison immunity one (although I doubt there is one with prerequisites I could meet). I was just wondering, as I have a shamanistic-type druid (who is still first level, just planning for the future) and I might plan to use a lot of poison, and possibly be even harvesting it myself from plants and live monsters.

Obviously this is not a power-gaming choice, as poison is D&D is generally not worth the time game-wise.

There is Poison Resistance form Serpent Kingdoms. That will increase your fort save against poison.

At 9th level, all druids gain immunity to all poisons - do you think this is a good character investment in terms of feats if you'll gain this ability in the not-too-distant future?

Is this the feat that gives +4 to Fort saves vs. poisons ?

Are there pre-reqs ?

Yes it is, but as far as pre-reqs I have no idea, I'm away from home so I don't have access to my books.

It is part of a 2-feat tree. The first grants you +2 bonus on saves vs poison, the 2nd feat makes you immune to all poisons altogether.:)

No prereqs, though it does have the monstrous descriptor, which should not be a problem, since the term "monstrous" isn't even properly defined in the MM, so sundry races should be able to take it.

I can't rememeber the prereqs, but there is a Poison Immunity feat in the BoVD. The only problem is that it only works for one specific type of poison (like giant wasp, or black lotus extract, or id moss, etc...). You can take the feat multiple times, each time applying it to a different poison.

Granted, it has a very narrow focus. If you are really only worried about one type (like drow sleep poison if you fight lots of drow, for example), this could be a good feat. For your typical adventurer, I would avoid it. ;)

I think PGTF also has a regional feat which grants +4 on saves vs poison.

The poison immunity feat was also reprinted in champions of ruin.

I If you are really only worried about one type (like drow sleep poison if you fight lots of drow, for example), this could be a good feat. It's a good feat for Drow.

Don't know about a regional feat for +4 vs poison but 3.0's FR regional feat "Snake Blood" gave +2 Fort save vs. poison and a +1 reflex save. The feat could only be taken by 1st lvl characters as it was a heritage-gained ability.

2 base SRD classes have posion immunity and atleast 2 PrC core classes have posion use, namley druid, monk, assassin, and blackguard at lvls 9,11,1,1 respectivly. If your main goal is to not posion yourself, you could probably just take lvls in one of thoes classes (And aparently you already are, so why sweat it?)
