| X0_Lt_0X05-28-07, 12:10 AM | ...........that your class does not have? you see I want to get my wizard both Weaponsmith AND armorsmith craft skills sooo is there a way to obtain a skill a class is not proficent (without multiclassing or prestige classes)like giving up a set number of skill points something? |
| Peregrine_Wolf05-28-07, 12:14 AM | not that I know of...but that would be a pretty good thing if it did exist |
| arjomanes05-28-07, 12:18 AM | You're in luck. The wizard gets craft as a class skill. Like Knowledge, Perform, and Profession, Craft is actually a number of separate skills. You could have several Craft skills, each with its own ranks, each purchased as a separate skill. So you can take both Craft (weaponsmithing) and Craft (armorsmithing) as class skills. Remember that you will have to put ranks in both skills. Also read the description of the Fabricate spell; that might also give you what you're looking for. If, on the other hand, you wanted to add a cross-class skill (like Balance or Use Rope) to your list of class skills, you'd have to take a feat or multiclass. |

| Karak_Nechot05-28-07, 01:58 AM | Everyone does. |
| X0_Lt_0X05-28-07, 02:02 AM | Everyone does. Not your first feat a Wizards bonus feat where it choses between a metamagic feat, spell mastery, or a crafting feat |
| Fireclave05-28-07, 02:09 AM | Not your first feat a Wizards bonus feat where it choses between a metamagic feat, spell mastery, or a crafting feat A wizard (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/sorcererWizard.htm#wizard) gets Scribe Scroll as a bonus feat at first level. He doesn't get a choice with this bonus feat. At 5th level, and every five levels thereafter, he gets another bonus feat with the choices you listed. |

| dragonseth05-28-07, 01:18 PM | Also relevant, I believe there is a feat in Races of Destiny that makes a skill of your choice a Class Skill for all of your classes. |
