| Majick07-15-07, 12:41 AM | This is in relation to the feat Knockback (which i currently have) and the idea that if i get into a grapple with someone (highly advised for my build) and deal unarmed damage, would they actually fly backwards out of the grapple? Would i be able to make the roll? |
| G_Mancer07-15-07, 02:25 AM | well you can only use power attack when you roll an attack( otherwise coup de grace would be even more broken).... if i remember correctly there is no attack roll during a grapple.. just "after a sujccesful grapple check you deal damage" or something to that effect... |

It's just like any other attack, except the attack roll is automatically a 20+confirmation. 2) You can choose to make a normal attack with an unarmed strike while grappling. I'd day that that opponent is thrown from the grapple. Keep in mind that you need to hit with a Power Attack, which means using an unarmed attack or a light weapon (and one could argue against light weapons, since they don't actually benefit from PA) with a -4 penalty on top of your PA penalty. Then, of course, the opposed Str check for the Bull Rush. Also, you don't have to use the feat if you don't want to. |
