I'm considering the knowledge devotion feat for my wizard but I'm kinda fuzzy on how the bonus to hit and damage would apply to my spells. I assume that the bonus would only apply to weaponlike spells (ie. rays and touch spells)? And how does it affect spells that do stat damage or neg levels?

It applies to any attack you make, be it from a weapon or a weapon-like spell. And I'm not sure what the stance is on insight bonuses to stat damage, but I think it doesn't apply. The attack bonus would though.

If the damage applies (and it sounds kinda strange...), it would work like with sneak attack - an enervation would deal the 1d4 negative levels, and the +x insight negative energy damage to hps.

Thanks for the clarifications. That's what I thought it might be. Oh well, I mainly wanted the attack bonus for my rays anyways.

Ah, that's right WackyOne. I knew that, really, I did!

What is knowledge devotion?

It's the knowledge domain feat in complete champion that gives insight bonus to attack and damage based on knowledge checks.

So it is somewhat like Archivist's Dark Knowledge, but better.
