RancorClaw 05-11-07, 12:47 AM	Can someone tell me exactly what types of Knowledge checks would be needed to determine if you know the DR of a monster? I think Knowledge (Arcana) works for dragon-types, but what about Outsiders? Would that be Knowledge (The Planes) or something else? And how about any random monster? Can there be a Knowledge (Monsters) skill to encompass them as a whole, or something? (I wish to find out, so that my Wizard can tell my Fighter which metal to change her Metalline +1 Greataxe into, in order to defeat the DR of the current opponent.)

For example, outsiders and elementals are listed under "The Planes." Now, knowing the DR or not is technically up to the DM, but if you get a high enough check you'll learn something useful about the monster.
