After looking over the undead leadership feat it appears to be weaker then the leadership feat. The assumed advantage comes from the +2 in attracting undead cohorts and followers however...:

Undead Leadership: Score 12 (lv. 6 + 4 Cha +2 undead)
8 1 HD skeletons: +1 hit, Scythe 2d4+1 damage. AC: 19 (+8 full plate, +1 dex)

Leadership: Score 10 (lv. 6 +4 cha)
5 lv 1 Dread Necromancer AC: 16 (+4 chain shirt, +1 dastana, +1 dex). Scythe 2d4 damage. Rebuke/command undead. (assuming 13 cha).
Using rebuke/command undead each of these 5 followers can command one 1 HD skeleton. Now we have 5 gish caster/fighters and 5 skeletons.

8 followers vs. 10 followers with healing capabilities (charnel touch can heal skeletons)

Am I missing something or is this right?

I used the rebuke/undead information from the SRD.

Also remember that you can take both feats if you want an army of Undead under you

Can you really take both of them? I had wondered that. It says no where that you can't but...

I'd be inclined to say you can't. Not using RAW, but precedent. The Thrallherd gets a better version of Leadership and it specifically says that that replaces the normal leadership feat if he already has it - and that's a class feature, not just another feat.

True..... but nothing about being a thrallheard says you cant take UNDEAD leadership

Now i have an army of mind controlled thrals AND a batallion of skeletons. Whats wrong with that?

To the OP: Im not particularly familiar with the undead leadership feat, but im pretty sure that alot of dms dont let you dictate what classes your followers are. Also, you might want to compare the circumstance modifiers? Perhapes there are fewer possible penalties in the undead version for things like getting your people killed.
