| Vestrial03-19-07, 01:58 PM | Leap attack says you double (1h) or triple (2h) the 'extra damage delt by your use of the power attack feat' (CaD 110) This is a bit ambiguous when using a 2h weap. I can interpret it in one of two ways: 1) I take a -5 penalty to hit, power attack gives me double that in bonus damage, then Leap triples that. 2) I take a -5 penalty to hit, leap attack triples that to 15. 1 seems to be more in accord with the RAW: "double the extra damage delt" sounds like you figure out what the power attack damage should be, then adjust it. This interpretation just seems a bit too gross. +30 damage for a -5 to hit? But two seems a bit weak, and Its also twice as effective for 1h weapon users, which doesnt really seem in line with the spirit of the feat... So what do you rules lawyers say? :) |
