Here's how I figure it: First, FPA alters the "base bonus" of another feat (Power Attack), in certain circumstances. This brings the ratio from 1:2 to 1:3. Second, Leap Attack adds "+100%" of the normal bonus damage. Here, we could interpret "normal bonus damage" as either "whatever the bonus damage would be otherwise", which gives us a whopping 1:6 ratio, or "the base bonuses as listed in the Power Attack feat", which gives us a decent 1:5 ratio. Remember to check the errata for both of these feats before commenting, and keep in mind that these are not multiplier bonuses, so they don't follow the "stacking multipliers" rule. In fact, neither feat adds a bonus at all. They merely alter a bonus granted by Power Attack. |

Sure, they aren't modifiers in the strictest sense, but the two feats where written on their own, and they both have the same intention: "adding" damage instead of multiplying it. Should they multiplay, Leap Attack with a Twohander would give 1:4 (Double for 2H, double for Leap), but it gives 1:3. (Once for normal PA, once extra for 2h, once more for Leap.) FEPA would add one additional instance of damage, so we end up at 1:4. I don't think you could let 2h stack twice (once for Leap, once for FEPA) here. |
