light or one-handed piercing weapon [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-10-07, 09:44 PM light or one-handed piercing weapon (of the Duelist's Precise Strike ability (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeClasses/duelist.htm))- does this mean:
the use of a light piercing weapon or one-handed piercing weapon?
or is it ANY light weapon or one-handed piercing weapon?

03-10-07, 09:59 PM The former. Stylistically, the former should be obvious. If it meant the latter, it would be better expressed as "light weapon or one-handed piercing weapon".

03-10-07, 10:07 PM I would say it is the first option as well. The ability was probably worded the way it was to make allowance for the use of the rapier (which is probably that the duelist was conceptualized around). But it just came out somewhat clunky.:(
