| Ghislain Darkmoon04-06-07, 12:07 PM | Hi folks, i´m looking for mechanics to simulate a feat, i.e. tiger´s roar or such: how far does it reach, is it Con or Cha based, definitly Will save, fear effect, i heard about Mighty roar in Savage Spicies, how about that? Some advice would be helpfull. Thanks in advance. |

Libris Mortis and Draconomicon have several other feats for fear-type auras and effects good for humanoids and monsters. I believe it is the Dread Pirate or Scarlet Corsair that gets area-effect fear on solid hits of some sort. I'm not sure if you mean this is for a tiger or what, but some of those work just fine. |

| Ghislain Darkmoon04-06-07, 04:44 PM | Thank you, actually one of my players (Shifter Ranger/Weretouched Master) asked me for a new feat to instill fear in his enemies by roaring like a tiger. |

You don't want Kiai Shout. Take that feat and compare it word for word, stat for stat, and so on, with the Daunting Presence feat (I think that's the name) in the Miniatures Handbook. Except for the fact that Kiai Shout leads to Greater Kiai Shout, Daunting Presence is a better choice in every way. Of course, flavor wise, KS should be fine. |
| Thale04-26-07, 06:21 PM | The Wildrunner PrC from Races of the Wild gets a Primal Scream ability that can render enemies shaken. You can try basing your feat off that ability. CHA determines how many times per day you can use the ability, while its duration is affected by your CON modifier. |
| Nadaka04-26-07, 07:11 PM | You might be able to borrow a feat from d20 modern. But of course you would need your DM's permission. Frightful Presence Prerequisites: Charisma 15, Intimidate 9 ranks. Benefit: When the character uses this feat, all opponents within 10 feet who have fewer levels than the character must make a Will saving throw (DC 10 + ½ the character’s level + the character’s Charisma modifier). An opponent who fails his or her save is shaken, taking a –2 penalty on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks for a number of rounds equal to 1d6 + the character’s Charisma modifier. The character can use the feat once per round as a free action. A successful save indicates that the opponent is immune to the character’s use of this feat for 24 hours. This feat does not affect creatures with an Intelligence of 3 or lower. If the character has the Renown feat, the Will saving throw’s DC increases by 5. |
