Just a quick question in regards to two feats/skills i read somewhere, then completely forgot the name of, and cant seem to find them in my books again.

One increased your sneak attack damage from D6's to D8's
The other i think was either a use of tumble or a combat style. It allowed you to "roll" with damage taken in order to decrease the amount of damage you took.

Anyone happen to know the names and places where these two can be found?

The only feat I know that increases sneak to d8 is Sacred Strike from BoED, but that is limited to Evil targets.

And the other one you are looking at is defensive roll from PHB- one of the rogues special abilities starting at level 10

The only feat I know of that increase your sneak attack dice for all targets is from a third party. AEG's book of Feats called improved sneak attack. The book has a bunch of feats that can break the play balance so care must be used in allowing any of the feats described in it.

Ah, that explains another post that took place a while back when some had a player using "improved sneak attack". The problem being, that is also the name of an Epic feat, but that one just adds an extra 1d6 to your damage.

thanks a lot for the feedback, explains why i kept looking over all my feats and skills over and over without finding the roll even though i was sure i had been reading it.

As for the improved sneak attack feat you are indeed right, with the name around was able to look it up in the feat list and its from Traps & Treachery, but apparently one of the gaming group had it printed out as a list ages ago and i fell in love with it. ;)

ah well, back to the feat selection board i guess. once again thanks for the quick help.
