looking for a archery feat [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-21-08, 11:58 PM Yes, it's in the Player's Handbook II and is called Penetrating Shot. It actually allows you to shoot through as many people as fit in a 60-foot-long line. It has pretty easy prerequisites too. Almost any 10th level Fighter can easily pick it up.

edit: There's also a weapon enhancement in Complete Warrior which does this, although the feat is slightly better.

02-22-08, 12:50 AM Actually, the feat is much better. Usually. The weapon enhancement works at any range, but is less likely to sucessfully hit multiple targets.

But then, feats are a lot harder to come by than gold.

02-22-08, 02:24 AM It depends. Does your archer rely on powerful single attacks or tons of attacks with smaller amounts of damage? Penetrating Shot means 1 attack per round, so it can severely affect your damage output. Exit Wound, on the other hand, lets you make full attacks.

02-22-08, 02:49 AM Does the enchantment work with many or greater many shot? How about the splitting enchantment from Champions of Ruin? From my understanding it would but I sometimes miss the subtle parts of the rules.

she says it would be useful for her to have this but couldnt find it.
where would i find exit wounds?

02-22-08, 08:39 AM Exit Wounds is a weapon enhancement in Complete Warrior. It should work with every shot. I'm very sure it would work with Splitting and Greater Manyshot, although I'm not as sure about regular Manyshot (but it would make sense).
