hi everyone I am making a combat caster, using two lvls of fighter and two in wizard. yes yes I know there are classes for this kind of things but I like to stick to the phb for classes. so with this being said I need to pick three more feats. I have practice spellcasting and inpvd toughness. this leaves me three more feats. one from fighter and two from lvl. so any ideas please help.

Really depends on the sort of character you're after. Are you trying to fight in melee, or more of an archer? Cast in melee a lot, or fight mostly and cast outside of combat? What kinds of weapons (and armor?) are you using? Who else is in the party?

I want to be in the melee. I only have first lvl spells so I don't have buff spells yet. I will be unarmed fighting. we use weapon groups so I can get good unarmed damage with my fist. and light armor. I'm not to worryed about spell falure. do you need anything else

Go to CharOP and look for a "Gish" build. I think it's what you're after.

With a wizard you "hit better" using the touch attack option in your spell. Once you have a spell charge in your hand you are considered armed. Given that, a chill touch would provide about 4 times of a touch attack. You could also attack at the same time to deliver it.

In that case, combat reflexes could allow you to deliver multiple blows.

Are you planning to fight unarmed? You can take a weapon focus on the unarmed strike or on touch attacks.

Insightful reflexes allows you to use your Intelligence mod on reflex saves. If you have a lousy Dex.

Weapon finesse to make your fist attacks hit better-if you have a good dex.
Later you can take a touch specialization that adds damage just like weapon specialization.

A spell focus on spells that provide the best offensive capabilities could be helpful for DC.

Any of the unarmed strike feats could be useful-one in PHB 2 allows you to change your unarmed strike to deal piercing, bludgeoning or slashing damage.

Going to be a weird build. ;)
