High Octane

I've had a character swimming around in my head for a while, but the build has one critical weakness: An extremely low fortitude save (Basically it will be only +1 base at level 10) The character has to have high dex and maxed out int, so depending on con is not going to happen. Also the headband of concious effort isnt likely since he needs a headband of int.

He's going to be an arcane trickster type build so his reflex saves are already covered and his arcanist levels will cover will saves.

Any ideas of how he can cover for fortitude? Besides Great Fortitude?

Con raising items? Really, you should probably post the full build on the Optimization boards and ask how to fix it there. Knowing how they work, you'll probably wind up with a +82 by picking up a feat and some obscure magic item and paying someone to cast 4 or 5 spells on you.

FInd some way of getting immunity to fort-save effects you think you will be vulnerable to, like immunity to poison/death ward etc?:P

You could take the necropolitan template which turns you into an undead. This way, your only real fear is disintergrate.:)

There is a feat somewhere that lets you use int to fort saves. -mind over matter maybe?- There is also a thread that lists all of the X stat replaced with Y stat feats and class levels. Ill link it in here once im on the computer i bookmarked it on.

Traditionally you'd pay for a Cloak of Resistance to boost all your saving throws. But now the Magic Item Compendium provides a more flexible option on page 15: the Stamina (or Greater Stamina) armor property, which boosts just the Fortitude save for about 1/3 the price of boosting all three saves. It's a fixed cost property, and you can apply it to Bracers of Armor if your high DEX keeps you from wearing traditional armor.

The high dex isnt preventing me from wearing armor (the character may not even have that high a dex) its the fact that hes an arcane caster. Still +1 bracers of armor are 1,000 gp so slapping that property on top of that wont be expensive. Good call since finding anything worth taking in bracers was kind of hard anyway.
