Lunging Strike + Serpent Fang? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-28-08, 01:39 AM Let's say I were a Monk with the feats Lunging Strike (PHBII) and Serpent Fang (Sandstorm). Would these two feats stack for the purpose of determining reach? If I used a full-round action, and expended a use of Stunning Fist for the attack (using an unarmed strike or monk weapons of course), could I strike a creature 15 ft away?

03-28-08, 10:56 PM by RAW, no. Serpent Strike specifies that your Ki allows you to strike 5ft past your NORMAL unarmed range, whereas lunging strike allows you to add 5 ft to your range for one attack. (as a bonus)

Personally though, I would allow it, and I think almost any sane DM would. The combo works in flavor and in the description, so run it by your DM and see what he says.
