Thanks! Yes, they can, but they cannot cast defensively due to mage slayer. Although, they know that they cannot as per the feats description.

See below for my alteration. REVISED MAGE SLAYER At the expense of losing mystical power, you make other casters suffer. Special If you take this feat you are considered an have a -4 to your CL for spells and spell-like abilities. Prerequisites Spellcraft 4 ranks, BAB +6, Mage Slayer Benefit You gain a +1 on Will saves and spellcasters must succeed on a Fortitude save (DC 10+ 1/2 HD + Str mod) to cast defensively if you threaten them. Additionally your caster level penalty from Mage Slayer drops by 2. GREATER MAGE SLAYER Wielders of magic cannot stand comfortably near you. Prerequisites Spellcraft 8 ranks, BAB +9, Improved Mage Slayer Benefit An additional +1 on Will saves, spellcasters you threaten may not cast defensively. aelryinth 01-01-08, 07:22 PM	Adding to concentration checks doesn't work at the epic level and it doesn't work here. Those aren't feats...at best they'd qualify as skill tricks, they are so underpowered. People might take mage slayer. Might. Seldom. rarely. These 'substitution' feats will never be taken by anyone. I honestly tell you they aren't worth the time it took you to write them. Just LOOK at the tree you made. Can you honestly think ANYONE will blow feats to climb that tree?!? Casting defensively is a skill that requires no feat investment. Feats trump skills. The concentration check to successively cast defensively is a 24, MAXIMUM...or a +14 to a check, taking 10. Easily done somewhere between 7 and 10th level. With combat casting, even sooner. ------------ And technically speaking, if you read the feat, Mage Slayer only works against spellcasters. It has no real application as such against Spell-like abilities, although it seems a common house rule to allow it. Anyone who thinks Mage Slayer is overpowered really doesn't know what a feat should be capable of doing. ===Aelryinth
