| yuna000000002-28-07, 01:58 PM | im trying to make a new char useing the Players Hand Book Ver. 3.5 It says for figureing out your starting skill points to use a skill modifier for you int.. my int is 14, and as far as i found in the book, my modifier was +2. it said then to add you int + the skill mod and times it by 4. 14+2=16 * 4 = 64 Is that right? i get 64 starting skill points to spend on skills? |
| yuna000000002-28-07, 02:00 PM | Oh and im an elf Wizard. |
| ZiggZagg02-28-07, 02:02 PM | wrong. it would be your skill points as a class+your int modX4. |
| yuna000000002-28-07, 02:04 PM | Please explaine.. im sorry, but im new to this... |
| Loki565402-28-07, 02:05 PM | Wizard Skill Points at 1st Level (2 + Int modifier) ×4. So that would be (2 + 2) x4 or (4) x4 for a total of 16 skill point at 1st level. You made the mistake of substituting your full INT (14) score instead of just the modifier (+2). |
| Jarii24602-28-07, 02:06 PM | So it would be (2+2)x4=16 You get 2 as your class skill points and then 2 for your Int bonus. Every level after that you get 4 points total(2+2) Hope that helps |

If you have any more problems, feel free to ask. ;) Also, here's a tip that we call the 'DM's little helper': 2 points is usually the mark of doing very well. +2 conditions to something means that there are quite favorable conditions for whoever gets the bonus. -2 is the same; a very unfavorable condition. |
