Could anyone please post a text write-up for the "Master of Poisons" feat from the "Drow of the Underdark" book. I'm hoping to work it into a character but it's not one of the books my group has in our collection.

Obviously, by your date of joining, you are new and don't yet realize that there is a thing called "open game license". You will find it here somewhere, I think under Code of Conduct.

This is just me being "nice", I am not a moderator or anything. But simply put, things that are under copyright are not allowed to be printed, like you asked for.

Everything that is *allowed* is called the System Reference Document. There are a few versions actually. I think that the most popular one right now is

http://www.d20srd.org/index.htm

I personally prefer a different version, but that should get you started.

Happy Playing. :)

As far as this message board program knows, I could be a 60 year old grandfather who's played since first ed and has simply never bothered to create an account until now; so my date of joining means squat.

Regardless of that, I know of both the OGL and the SRD. I was asking the boards in hopes of a little bit of good natured sharing being one of my options. The other being visiting my local gaming shop a few hours before game night and simply copying the gist of the feat onto an index card. And, while both of those options do violate copyright laws, it's more a matter of scale and intent. It's not widespread distribution or any kind of profit on my part. Its just one of those small-fish infractions that companies acnowledge but ignore because its too costly to prosecute.

After all, it's just as illegal that I installed Windows on both my PC and my laptop when the user agreement clearly states that the Microsoft expects me to buy two copies of the software for such a setup.

So, if anyone has the "Drow of the Underdark" book, all I'm asking is if the actual feat description is markedly different than the short write-up as shown in the Excerpts or Comprehensive Feat List section of the wizards site, or if the teaser is an accurate discription of the feat as printed.

Friend, Wizards is "a-retentive" about their stuff. I've seen them prosecute for pictures on myspace type sites with it.

They will kick us off the forums for it, and they will sue for fines.

You have the right idea about running to the bookstore. Here on the net, it's all laid out.

Might as well seduce a 13-year-old before trying to go up against WotC.
