| Lixith07-20-07, 04:06 PM | ok... if i'm level 16, a base class and a PRC, and 12 of those levels has a skill listed as 'cross class', and 4 have the same skill listed as a class skill, and i'm currently leveling up as the class that has the skill cross class, what is the max ranks i can have in the skill? (i know that i currently have to spend 2 skill points for 1 rank) My friend insists that it's (level +3)/2 just like it would be if it were cross class for all my levels. I don't think that makes sense, i think that the max should be higher, since i had 4 levels where it was a class skill. If it matters, i did invest some in the skill when i had the chance to get it 1 for 1, but at the time i did not max it out. I might be wrong though, it has happened before... on occasion. Ok, usually... but that's not the point here..... Thanks |

However, you spend your skill points according to the class you just levelled up in, so you may spend double for some. FOR EXAMPLE: A fighter level 1, INT 10, who has maxed out his Handle Animal and Climb only, 4 ranks each, then takes a level of Rogue. All his rogue skills are now class skills, and as a second level character, they have a maximum rank of 5. However, should he wish to increase a skill that's not on the Rogue list (as I believe Handle Animal is not), it would cost him 2 skill points for the 1 rank. |
