Does anyone know if there is a feat out there that allows you to apply metamagic feats to spell trigger items?
for example, using split ray on a wand of scorching ray

Also, is it possible to get sneak attack damage while using a wand?

thanks.

1. I belive there is a prestige class with that ability. Also there are certain feats that duplicate specific metamagic abilities for wands. See Double Wand Wielder in Complete Arcane.

2. Yes, you can get sneak attack with a wand.

Sneak attack requires:

1. That the victim be sneak attackable
2. That the attack require a to hit roll.
3. That the attack does damage (no sneak attacking with a healing thing - sneak attack never heals)
4. That you be in a position where you can sneak attack the target (flanking, dex denied, flat-footed, etc.)
5. That the victim be within 30 ft of you if you do a ranged attack.

The last one is the most important consideration for wands, as it is the one you are most likely to forget about.

You can do it with a wand, you can do it with a cantrip, you can do it with a dagger, you can do it with a crossbow, you can do it with a throw. (Gratuitous Dr. Suess Referrence)

There is a feat in CM, Metamagic Spelltrigger or something, that lets you apply mm feats to wand, staves, and such. I dont know the details.
