| memphis_mephit07-09-07, 10:11 AM | ok i'm new at this whole making your own stuff and as my usual reference point is on holiday for the next few weeks i thought i might throw my first feat out there for you lions to rip apart ok seriously now i'm not sure if anyone else has come across the small issue of losing magical attributes from items due to an altered form but it's recently come to my attention and here is my pretty lame attempt at fixing it note the special Prerequisite is pretty much the same as the requirement for the warshaper in complete warrior Feat: Morphic Transference Your worn magical items attributes are conferred to alternate shapes Prerequisite: constitution 13 Special; must be able to change shape in one of the following 6 ways • Change shape supernatural ability (aranea, hound archon, barghest, doppelganger, rakshara, slaad). • Shapechanger subtype (lycanthropes, phasm). • Polymorph as a spell-like ability (astral deva, planetar, solar, couatl, marilith, bronze dragon, gold dragon, silver dragon, efreeti, leonal ,gaurdinal, night hag, ogre mage, pixie). • Able to cast the polymorph spell. • Wild shape or similar class feature. • The alternate form feature is also applicable granted the form is substantial (incorporeal and gaseous forms are not). Benefit: while in any form other than your natural form you retain the bonuses conferred to you by worn magic items (note that a weapons magical properties are not transferable by this feat) if the alternate shape and the magical bonus are of the same type you take the better of the two (this feat does not allow bonuses of the same type to stack). Normal: when in an alternate form without the appropriate slots you lose all magical bonuses as the object melds with the wearer and is rendered ineffective. any ideas on this feat would be appreciated |

Armor has a magical enchantment, so no need to do that one. I could see another for say any gloves/boots. And maybe one for helment or necklace etc. etc. etc. Each feat letting you benefit from two related slots. |
| memphis_mephit07-14-07, 10:36 AM | ok so maybe a little more like Benefit: while in any form other than your natural form you retain the bonuses conferred to you by 2 of your worn magic items (note that a weapons magical properties are not transferable by this feat) if the alternate shape and the magical bonus are of the same type you take the better of the two (this feat does not allow bonuses of the same type to stack). Normal: when in an alternate form without the appropriate slots you lose all magical bonuses as the object melds with the wearer and is rendered ineffective. special: this feat may be taken multiple times each time it is taken it applies to 2 different item slots. |
