Hi, this isnt supposed to be a big discussion, just a question. What are the requirements of multidexerity, what exactly does it DO? Can you quote the feat from some updated book anyone?

I know multidexterity eliminates all multiweapon fighting penalties, basically, but I don't know what exactly it does. I also don't know the requirements exactly, so I don't really "know" if my four-armed character can have it, even though it's very probably it can, I want to prove to my evil DM that I can have this feat.

There are three feats you need to look at they are in MM2 page
18. Multiattack, multidexterity and multiweapon fighting should cover your questions.

Multidexterity has been rolled into the Multiweapon Fighting feat in 3.5.

Not 3.5, I can tell ya that much, cuz in my savage species book, for the improved multi-weapon fighting feat, it lists both feats as separate requirements, if that was so, that book wouldn't.

I don't have the MM2, I'm new here. I'll get it as soon as I can though.

Multiattack and multiweapon fighting, I know those, MM1 covers those two.

Actually Savage Species isn't 3.5, at best it is a 3.25 book. It came out before the 3.5 revision with some of the 3.5 rules changes, but not all. The Fiend Folio is the same way.

It still is funny though, what kalstrand says, because if multidexterity was "rolled into the Multiweapon Fighting feat in 3.5", then why does my monster manual that says 3.5 on it not say that all penalties are eleminated and instead still keep the -2 penalty? Makes no sense to me unless multidexterity was completely eliminated from the game.

In 3.0, Multidexterity eliminated the penalty for fighting with a weapon in your "off hand" (that is, the penalty that made your off-hand attacks less accurate than your main-hand attack) and Multiweapon Fighting reduced the penalties for fighting with multiple weapons (that is, the penalty that made all your attacks less accurate). In 3.5, Multiweapon Fighting takes care of both tasks. In both versions, you still took a minimum of -2 on your attack rolls when using more than one weapon.

Feat doesn't exist anymore, it is part of multiweapon fighting. Look in any 3.5 book for MWF.

Are you confused? Savage Species is a 3.0 book. MM2 is a 3.0 book, you need to look in 3.5 books like MM1, MM3, MM4, and MM5.

Yep, I think you are confused. If you had read the D&D 3.5 update document, you would see the feat was rolled into the 3.5 MWF feat tree. Nothing was lost, everything in 3.0 with MWF+MD = 3.5 MWF.

Odd. I always thought multidexterity let you do more things at once. For instance, A thri-kreen reloading a crossbow and swinging a sword at the same time. That makes sense to me.

Okay, I was confused there, but now I think I understand. In 3.0, there was this additional penalty to the -2 one for the off hand when fighting with multiple weapons, but this multidexterity feat eliminated it, but then in 3.5, they fused, got ya.

Okay, so a better question now is what are the new requirements for improved multi-weapon fighting feat, now that multidexterity is rolled into multi-weapon fighting? Is it just what you see in savage species minus multidexterity, or something else entirely now?

There is a feat that allows this (in Savage Species actually). It's called Multitasking.

EDIT: I'm fairly certain that, yes, the prereqs for Improved Multiweapon Fighting are still the same minus Multidexterity. I don't have a rule source on that one though.

Well, you can't take it in a 3.5 game. Or at least most 3.5 games, since things related to multiweapons changed.

The only place that feat was printed is Deities and Demigods and Savage Species.

Multi weapon fighting == two weapon fighting But for 3+ arms
the same goes for IMWF and GMWF and even PMWF.

the D20 SRD has them listed:
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsterFeats.htm#multiweaponFighting
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/feats.htm#improvedMultiweaponFighting
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/feats.htm#greaterMultiweaponFighting

note, Improved & greater are listed in the ELH, here as the 3.5 version, but are not actually epic feats. Perfect is epic:
