Multiple Metamagic Feats on 1 spell? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-01-07, 12:03 PM Im currently building a shugenja (fire element) and i was wondering, is it possible to apply many metamagic feats on 1 spell, as long as u "pay" the level increase?

For example, would i be able to apply Blistering Spell (+1 lv) and Fiery Spell (+1 lv) onto a fireball...meaning that the spell would use a level 5 slot?

And if i did that, would the damage bonus stack (Fiery spell gives 1 extra damage per dice rolled, Blistering spell gives 2 extra damage per spell level (in this case, 3rd level...so 6 dmg))? Meaning that my Blistering Fiery Fireball would be (if cast by a level 10 caster) a 10d6+10(Fiery)+6(Blistering) damage fireball?

Another thing i was wondering about, i found the Cold Focus and Greater Cold Focus feats in Frostburn...does anyone know if the Fire Focus and Greater Fire Focus feats exist somewhere? I havent found them...

08-01-07, 12:25 PM While I will argue about whether certain feats SHOULD stack, these two are clear.

A Fiery, Blistering Fireball (10th caster level)

Takes up a 3+1+1 = 5th level slot.

The saving throw is 10+3 + your int/charisma

The damage is

10d6+10 (Fiery) + 6 (blistery).

In addition, the victims take a small penalty to attack and checks untill the begining of your next turn

I would certainly allow a Cold Focus and Greater Cold Focus, though I have not seen them.
