Multiple Skill Tricks at once? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I have a rogue/dread commando character who is a skill point pig, so I have taken six skill tricks along the way.

I just realized that some of them would be great to work together, but in some ways, it seems overly powerful for skill tricks maybe. Whadda ya think?

I can't see anything that restricts me from using them together, though I might have missed it somewhere. We have a DM who LOVES to use monsters that grapple, improved grab, etc. So, I have taken the Easy Escape skill trick, the Quick Escape skill trick, and the Escape attack skill trick thinking about how useful they will be.

Can I combine these together (albeit only once per encounter), to:

Use "Quick Escape" to escape as a Swift Action, using "Easy Escape" to enhance my chances of it working (+ 4, 8, 12, 16). Or use "Easy Escape to get out of a grapple more easily, and then assuming it works, get a sneak attack on the way out using "Escape Attack"?

Escape attack and Quick Escape are swift actions, but Easy Escape apparently is not an action.

TIA,

only 1 swift action/round. You have to choose...

Escaping from a grapple is a standard action.

I realize that escaping is a standard action (normally). I am not asking if you can combine two swift action tricks either...I realize that is not possible.

Quick escape allows you to (as a swift action) make an escape attempt even if you tried it already as a standard action.

But, the question was, can you combine TWO (or more) skill tricks. The "Easy Escape" trick in NOT a an action, therefore I would be combining a swift action skill trick in each case with a skill trick that is NOT an action.

i.e.

Quick Escape (Swift) + Easy Escape (Not an action) = OK?

Easy Escape (Not an action) + Escape Attack (Swift) = OK?

Basically, is there any reason you cannot combine two tricks?

No.

I think you got it right.
