| Living_Chaos11-13-07, 08:01 PM | Hey guys. I have a character, human, prefers unarmed attacks as weapon of choice. I'm looking for a way to get a couple extra attacks in. I was wonder if there are any feats out there that could give me a hand. I've heard of Snap Kick, I'm wondering if there is anything else. He will not be a monk, so no Flurry of Blows class feature. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |

What class/level are you talking about? Or Multiattack. As a DM myself, I can easily see how a Human with Improved Unarmed Strike could pull it off, seeing as Monks can use their own heads as part of a Flurry. Also, Superior Unarmed Strike will be your friend. |

| strenoth11-14-07, 01:03 AM | if youa re NOT a monk, then you want Superior unarmed Strik from the Book of Nine Swords (gives a weaker but still usable unarmed damage progression) Snap Kick from the same book gives an extra unarmed attack when ever you attack, no matter what weapon you attack with. |
| KoreKore11-14-07, 01:42 AM | look up snap kick in the tome of battle, two weapon fighting, flurry, improved two weapon fighting and greater two weapon fighting. A lvl 20 monk can get nine attacks in a round with that, add in a talisman of speed from the quintessential monk and you can get another one or two attacks (pending on how your DM reads the item ability description) so possibly 11 attacks per round, sure you chance of hitting isn't perfect but hey you can still get a lot of chances in there. |
| strenoth11-14-07, 10:14 AM | remember that TWF chain ONLY works if you are wielding another monk weapon in addition to your unarmed attacks. You only have one "unarmed attack" which is your entire body. (ie, includes punches, kicks, head butts, elbow strikes, knees to the groin, etc. All of those are the same unarmed strike) |
| dman1123511-14-07, 10:34 AM | Yes. Also, don't get tricked into buying either magical gauntlets or the Amulet of Mighty Fists. Get an Amulet of Natural Attacks (Savage Species) instead. Get speed put on that. Remember: TWF does NOT work with this. |

Anybody ever read rules of the game? |
| dman1123511-14-07, 10:45 AM | I do! I don't know how many times somene's question could be answered by looking at the PHB again, or just rereading the feat. And multi-attack doesn't work anyway, because a prereq is three or more natural attacks. And unarmed strikes (being wierd as they are) are considered manufactured weapons for what multi-attack covers. |
| Living_Chaos11-14-07, 10:51 AM | What class/level are you talking about?\ I was planning on playing an Earth Bender, the link is below if you want to check it out. It seems, for the campaign I'm heading into I won't be able to play it, but I intend on saving it for later anyway. The DM and several of my friends, as well as myself, agree that TWF doesn't work with Unarmed Strikes, cause you can't really specify an off hand; you're using everything. As for Snap Kick, I've looked into it and I'll have to wait till 9th to take it, I won't have the +6 BAB and a free feat before that. I was hoping there was something I could take at alower level, but I guess I'll have to wait; it's a vurtue they say. Thanks for the help. Link to Avatar D20, thanks to ZerianTheKeeper http://forums.gleemax.com/leaving.php?destination=http://www.freewebs.com/zerian-the-keeper/avatard20.htm PS I don't won any core book, so I can't really give the PHB a read through. |
| dman1123511-14-07, 11:36 AM | That wasn't derected at you, it was derected at the many people who ask stuff that can easily be remedied by re-reading the feat/spell/what have you. Your question was not anything like that. Anyways that's not important. Check out the SRD for most everything in the PHB. Also, you may want to check either the Lists of Stuff (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=662842) thread or crystalkeep.com, either one might help you here. The SRD is in my sig. |
