| bugman196408-08-07, 07:34 AM | So im going to play a dwarven cleric of obad hai. My domains are fire and water. The feat chain ive come up with so far is Domain spot. - 1lvl Domain spec.- 3rdlvl proficient spellcaster - 6thlvl all out of the complete divine The character is going to be played when going into battle as pop off a few spells then waid into the melee action. He is not a heal bot,but does do some healing when it is really nec. So my questions are this. Do I need to take domain spec with proficient spellcaster or does the +4 not work the same as the +1 from domain spec. Also is there a more proficient chain I should be looking at given my role?I considered augment healing but decided against it as proficient spell caster seems to be better.I also wish I could do something usefull with my turn undead attempts. As You dont fight undead every day. |

You can't increase your caster level beyond your hit dice, meaning that if you don't multiclass, the feat gives no benefit. Also, unless one of those first 2 feats does something, how does a druid gain domains? |
| bugman196408-08-07, 12:55 PM | sorry. I did mean practiced spellcaster. But the way I under stood it is you could cast a 1st lvl spell equivalant to +4 or hd so say the magic stone spell that does 1d6/lvl as a 1st lvl spell could be cast as a 5d6 if you were a 5th lvl.Humm I think I see where this feat is retarded as this spell is only use full if I multi classed out side of a spell casting class. I dont understand your question about the first 2 feats and reference to druids. |
| tarkin08-08-07, 01:12 PM | 1. Nope, Practised Spell caster does nothing unless your HD is already 4 greater than your caster level. It is a feat for people that are multi-classes such as Druid/Fighter, or for Rangers and Paldins. It does nothing for Pure Druids. 2. Druids do not get Domain spells. You get no benefit from Domain Spec. or Domain Spot. feat --------- Try the following, it is a pretty typical build for Druids: 1st feat = Eschew Materials 3rd feat = Sudden Empower 6th feat = Extra Wild Shape You might also get Natural Spell as your 9th level feat, letting you cast while in wildshape. |
| Krusk08-08-07, 01:43 PM | Slip natural spell in there instead of practiced spellcaster, because one helps you and the other does not. Then get rid of your domain feats, as you don't get domains. Also to note, you cannot get the domains fire and water, as you have no domains playing a druid. |
| bugman196408-08-07, 02:27 PM | hahaha.Ijust caught why every one was saying druid.sorry I meant cleric and didnt catch it when I re read my post. So change druid to cleric and what do you guys think |
| Krusk08-08-07, 06:53 PM | Makes a ton more sense, I would still recomend you ditch out practiced spellcaster as it does nothing at all for you. As to cleric feats, can you specialize in your other domain as well? or does the feat do both. |
| Aloki08-08-07, 07:18 PM | Also, please try better punctuation. |
