| Eklypse005-24-07, 02:03 AM | Mystic Practiced Spellcasting Prerequisite: 4 Ranks of Spellcasting Benefit: The use of this feat allows the caster to draw off the ability and skill of her other spell casting classes to power their spells. Each Spell casting class the character has effectively increases two caster levels up to a maximum number of levels of the other spell casting classes the character has. Example: A 5rd-level Wizard / 1st-level Sorcerer with this feat is effectively a caster Level of 6th in Wizard (Only one level of Sorcerer, his other casting class), and 3rd Level in Sorcerer ( Wizard class is well beyond the requirements of maximum of 2 spell caster Levels) This feat can be taken multiple times. The effects stack. (Two feats can be taken for up to a maximum of 4 levels of Caster Class power.) |

I'd allow it, and I might take it myself for some builds. |
| Eklypse005-24-07, 06:52 AM | The lower level of power (+2) is also offset in that If you decided to still take another caster class, (Such as Priest) all three classes would get the benefit. In the case of the 5th-level wizard 1st-level Sorcerer who gets a level of Priest would effectively be Caster Levels 7th wizard, 3rd Sorcerer and 3rd Priest. (The levels of Priest and Sorcerer stack for the Wizard). |

Your CL may not exceed your total number of classes with casting levels. Special: You may take this feat twice. For simplicity the CL should cap at your character level just like the normal Practiced Spellcaster. I would drop the ability to take the feat multiple times; taking it three times may give you +6 CL for each casting class which may be ok if you have three classes otherwise this and Practiced Spellcaster for each of two classes will give you the same result. Using this feat alone your CL should NOT be allowed to exceed your character level. This feat also should NOT increase your actual spellcasting ability. If this feat is designed to actually increase casting ability (In the orginial example the Wizard5/Sor1 cast the same spells as a Wizard6/Sor3.) the feat is FAR TOO POWERFUL! Here you'd have one feat that basically trumps entire Prestige Classes. If a Wiz6/Sor1 had this feat twice would spellcasting then be the same as a Wiz7 / Sor5 (or Sor 4 because that is half of Wiz6?) which is at least as good as a level 8 UM build could get [W4/S1/UM3 =W7/S3(cl7)] after going through a few more hoops? If that were the case such a feat could quickly become insane when used with the number of spellcaster mixing PrCs that are now available. |

You get a number of caster levels in each class up to a maximum of the total caster levels as your other classes not to exceed +2 per Feat taken. In most aspects, it is exactly as if you took the Practiced Caster. The only thing is Practiced Caster you can use any class to base your +4 off of, a Caster Class or Mundane Class. Mystic Practiced Caster, you can use the total of all your other Caster Classes, but it has no use for Mundane Class Levels. The Wiz 6 / Sor 1 becoming Caster Levels Wiz 7 / Sor 5 is already legal by getting two feats of Practiced Caster. Practiced Caster already allows the effects of the spells you cast to be equivalent to the new casting level. Neither Practiced Caster nor Mystic Practiced caster allows you to use spells beyond your normal class Levels. It does allow you to Cast spells more powerfully and give you a caster equivalence for when you want to build magic items. |
