| cog_n_taz08-14-07, 10:06 AM | See, my rogue/shadowdancer/assassin is dedicated to destroying undead, seeing as he's been chosen for the role by Death himself, as the price for being ressurected. Now, I've found numerous ways to SA undead, but I've yet to find a way to crit undead, and as I will be using a scythe, this is kinda important. Unfortunately, I need an actual published feat, not homebrew, as the DM is not willing to include any sort of homebrew...any ideas? |
| Gideon_Gideonson08-14-07, 10:22 AM | Hmmm...I know there's a spell called Grave Strike, which accomplishes the same thing, but I can't think of a feat off the top of my head. For 2,000gp, you can get an item of consistent Grave Strike, although your DM may not allow that sort of thing, since the item isn't specifically listed in any book, and instead relies on the item creation rules. I'd talk to him about it though...maybe up the price a bit, but still... There's also a Weapon Augment Crystal in the Magic Item Compendium that lets you sneak attack undead, which is something definitely worth looking into. That's all I can think of at the moment... |
| arderkrag08-14-07, 10:27 AM | What you need is this book: http://www.amazon.com/Feats-Action-Promises-Achievement-Excuses/dp/1887953736/ref=pd_bbs_2/104-6534722-7382334?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1187101459&sr=8-2 2 feats in it - Stout heart and Death Angel - allow you to sneak attack and critical undead. Also, there is a magical weapon effect (ghost strike) which allows you to do the same, I think it's in Libris Mortis, not sure though. |

I've figured out the crystal thing. Alas, I don't own the MIC, so I'm stuck with that one. Also, gravestrike...isn't that only for SA, and not crits? Still, thanks for the ideas:) . Arderkrag, while that book looks nice, my budget is so limited, it's not even funny. Plus, 3rd party is as good as homebrew to him. Thanks for the idea though. As for the spell you're talking about, I think you mean gravestrike, but I'm not sure. |
| Dalthbar08-14-07, 10:53 AM | Isn't that book no better (and in some cases worse) than homebrew? I remember seeing a lot of comments about it being rather overpowered. |

There is a ghoststrike weapon effect in a supplemental book - I'm pretty sure it's LM. There's several neat ones in that book. |
| cog_n_taz08-14-07, 09:55 PM | hmm... this ghoststrike ability, how much does it cost? That is, + how much is it? |
| arderkrag08-15-07, 03:52 PM | hmm... this ghoststrike ability, how much does it cost? That is, + how much is it? +2 bonus. Requirements for craftng are CL 11th, ghost touch weapon, and undeath to death. It's probably one of my more favorite enchantments. In addition to critting/sneak attacking undead, it functions as ghost touch. |
| EdXCal08-16-07, 01:37 AM | There is a feat in the Players Handbook II thats a class feat change for rogues, it lets you trade your attack for increased damage for your and your party. I can't recall the name of it, but if you have the PH2 I'm sure you can look it up. |
| benjimon08-16-07, 04:30 AM | expedition to castle ravenloft resource allows you to switch out your trap sense ability in exchange for half sneak attack damage against undead. |
| zeratulcraft08-16-07, 04:47 AM | That's also in complete champion, two such things actually. One is half sneak attack dice vs undead, the other is +2 damage for each sneak attack dice you would ordinarily deal were it not undead. |
