Effect: Adds + 4 Levels to the effective Master/Creature Bond. This works like Practiced Caster does with Caster Level, but it is applied to the Familiar or Psicrystal Chart instead. Example: Murack the Gish is a Human Wizard(6)/Fighter(2)/Eldritch Knight(1). He has a Familiar that is still at the 6th Level effect due to the Non-Wizard(or Sorcerer, cuz they stack) Levels. Still, it's his 9th Character Level, and so decides to take Practiced Master. Now his Familiar(a Bat) is treated as if Murack had 6 + 3 (only missing 3 levels) Levels of Wizard! If Murack gained another Level of Eldritch Knight, His Familiar will be at the 10th Level of power, but any more and he'll start to lag behind again. NOTE: This can be taken Twice, but each time it applies to either a Familiar OR a Psicrystal. |

Sorry if I was unclear about this. As to Psicrystals, I like both Psi & Magic, so, I figure it's probably best for a Cerebremancer(Psion/Wizard PrC, like the Mystic Theurge) so that if you have both a Familiar & a Psicrystal, they can catch up a bit(relative to the power they would have had if the master was single Classed). |
