I think I would have myself some dragon babies and make them roar at me repeatedly until I was a great wyrm...or better if you have the epic rules. Or I'd always have impenetrable forests guarding my lairs becuase I could just spend my time roaring at the foliage until its old and thick. Or I'd be an evil mastermind Dragonfire Adept that can build a slave army out of just about any base creature by roaring at them until they are old enough to procreate, then roaring at the babies until they can be soldiers/baby-makers themselves. Rinse and repeat until I overpopulate the earth with my armies. Then, since I used a short lived species for my army's base, I'd just roar a lot until they all died of old age and rule the world. |
| abraham04-04-08, 08:35 PM | I modified the feat to be more balanced. |
| ZiggZagg04-04-08, 09:55 PM | I assume there is a save to this effect. If not, then no, you really didn't balance it at all. |
| abraham04-06-08, 05:50 PM | yes, the save is 30 + wis mod.(it is meant for epic dragons mostly) |
| Krusk04-06-08, 06:14 PM | Include the save in the description of the feat. Also I would suggest reducing it to something like this. 10+1/2HD of the dragon+wis mod. Then add a prerequsite of must be huge size or larger dragon. or similar if you want to restrict it to older dragons. (or simply make it an epic feat) As for balance, you might be able to have it work in addition to the breath weapons normal damage, and still not be overpowered. Also, remove that bit about 10 times per day whichever is less. Just make it an addition to normal breath weapons. Maybe it adds 1 to the ammount of recooperation time from using a breath weapon if you really want. 1d4+2. Please include some form of formatting for your feat, makes it easier to read. Note that it has no effect on creatures like undead that have no maximum age. The same magic that prevents them from dieing of old age, also prevents this from ageing them. |
| Shaggy_Shaggs04-07-08, 03:52 AM | Actually undead have a chance to "evolve" (poor choice of words, but that's what they use) every 100 years of existence, and they can do it repeatedly. With some time on your hands you could make some really potent undead with this. |
