Feedback and critique are welcome :) Immediate Spell [Metamagic] Prerequisite: Quicken Spell Benefit: Casting an immediate spell is an immediate action. You can perform an immediate action at any time — even if it's not your turn - but doing so counts as your one use of an immediate or swift action per round. A spell whose casting time is more than 1 full round action cannot be modified into an immediate spell. An immediate spell uses up a spell slot six levels higher than the spell’s actual level. Casting an immediate spell doesn’t provoke an attack of opportunity. Special: This feat can’t be applied to any spell cast spontaneously (including sorcerer spells, bard spells, and cleric or druid spells cast spontaneously), since applying a metamagic feat to a spontaneously cast spell automatically increases the casting time to a full-round action. Retribution Spell [Metamagic] Prerequisite: Immediate Spell, Spell Focus (any one) Benefit: As the immediate spell metamagic feat, but more specilized to a particular school of magic. You can cast a retribution spell as an immediate action in response to an sucessful attack that dealt damage. When you select this metamagic feat, you tie it to a single school of magic that you have also taken the Spell Focus feat for. If you use a spell modified by this feat in response to an attack that dealt damage to you, your caster level and the spells DC is increased by +1. This bonus is in addition to any other effects that increases caster level or DC, such as spell focus. You can choose to cast a retribution spell modified spell as an immediate action any time, but the increase to the caster level and DC only apply when you cast this spell after a sucessful attack. A retribution spell uses up a spell slot four levels higher than the spell’s actual level. Casting an retribution spell doesn’t provoke an attack of opportunity. Special: This feat may be selected multiple times, but each time it must be keyed to a different school of magic that you also have a Spell Focus feat for. |
