Clever Lever
[General,fighter]
Prerequistes: Int 13, Combat Expertise, Improved Trip
You're adept at tripping creatures that are larger than you.

In addition to the bonuses conferred by the Improved Trip feat, if your target is the one or more size categories larger than you, treat them as one size category smaller than they are for your opposed checks.
When tripping someone of your size or smaller than you are, this feat offers no benefit.

So for example
Large creatures get no size bonus for the trip.
Huge creatures get +4 size bonus instead of +8.
Gargantuan creatures get +8 size bonus instead of +12.
etc.

What do you think?
Too good, Too bad?

The Bigger They Are...
[General,fighter]
Prerequistes: Combat Expertise, Improved Trip
When attempting to trip an opponent greater you, that opponent counts as one size catagory smaller than it is.

Large creatures get no size bonus for the trip.
Huge creatures get +4 size bonus instead of +8.
Gargantuan creatures get +8 size bonus instead of +12.
etc.

What do you think?
Too good, Too bad?

Seems fine. The language can use a bit of work though, perhaps "When attempting to trip an opponent at least one size category larger than yourself, you may treat that opponent as if it was one size category smaller that it actually is."

And your second paragraph is clearly based on a medium creature as the base, it would be incorrect if a Small character took the feat.

EDIT: Probably a bit of a name change would be in order as well, I can't think of many feats that are the beginning of a phrase.

I like the concept.

You might want to add the Int 13 pre-req for Imp. Trip - unless you're leaving that out for a specific reason.

You're also assuming that the creature taking this feat is medium. And while that's "usually safe", you may want to make the language a bit more generic. Also, the name seems to imply that the target is larger than you are. So, you may want to do something similar to...

"You're adept at tripping creatures that are larger than you.

In addition to the bonuses conferred by the Improved Trip feat, if your target is the same size category or larger, treat them as one size category smaller than you are for your opposed checks.

When tripping someone smaller than you are, this feat offers no benefit."

I added those tweaks in there so this feat wouldn't be grossly abusive in the hands of large players (or NPCs for that matter).

Changed the name.
The "Clever" is a wink to Clever Wrestler and Clever Sidestep, which give benefits to grapple and bullrush attempt from large creatures

Also changed the text. Thanks for the input.
