New Genasi racial feats [Archive] - Wizards Community

Prerequisites: Earth Genasi, Flurry of Blows class feature
You use your extraplanar anatomy to your advantage, dealing more damage with your unarmed strikes.
Benefit: Calculate the damage you deal with your unarmed strike as though your monk level is one higher. You get a +1 bonus to unarmed attacks.
Special: For meeting requirements, this feat counts as Weapon Focus: Unarmed Strike.

Rushing Wave Discipline (Racial)
Prerequisites: Water Genasi, Flurry of Blows class feature
You move as fast as a wave rushing to the shore.
Benefit: Calculate your unarmed speed bonus as though your monk level is two levels higher. You get a +1 bonus to unarmed attacks.
Special: For meeting requirements, this feat counts as Weapon Focus: Unarmed Strike.

Dancing Flame Discipline (Racial)
Prerequisites: Fire Genasi, Flurry of Blows class feature
In combat you waver like a dancing flame.
Benefit: Calculate your AC as though your monk level is two levels higher. You get a +1 bonus to unarmed attacks.
Special: For meeting requirements, this feat counts as Weapon Focus: Unarmed Strike.

Wind Embrace Discipline (Racial)
Prerequisites: Air Genasi, Flurry of Blows class feature
The wind bends to your will and protects you from harm.
Benefit: Calculate your Slow Fall class feature as though your monk level is two levels higher. You get a +1 bonus to unarmed attacks.
Special: For meeting requirements, this feat counts as Weapon Focus: Unarmed Strike.

09-21-07, 04:00 PM I can see a reasonable argument for Stone Fist gets to count this as Weapon Focus (Unarmed Strike).

None of the others make any sense. While they may have combat pre-reqs, they do not help you hit or do more damage.

They should not count as being skilled with unarmed strike.

09-21-07, 04:09 PM They are all Monk feats though, and the monk is about unlocking hidden potential and studying unarmed combat, and that is why all the feats supply an unarmed attack bonus.

09-22-07, 11:24 PM I was kindof going after that regional feat feel of FR, such as Dauntless which is like toughness but slightly better! :)
