New Rage Feat Idea [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-27-07, 05:52 PM I had an inspiiration for a rage idea and wanted to run it by everyone here.

Extra Effort
Prereq. The Rage class ability

Benifits: This feat grants you an additional +2 STR +2 CON and +1 to Will Saves while raging. However when your rage ends you are exausted instead of fatigued.

06-28-07, 11:51 AM While I consider the idea reasonable, I dislike it.

For one thing, people already get boosts to the stat bonuses you get from rage, simply be being a higher level barbarian. You don't discuss who this interacts with them, implying it stacks.

For another, thing, Exhaustion is a harsh penalty. I don't like giving them that bad a penalty after battle, it pretty much ensures death if they don't win before the Rage is done.

06-28-07, 12:22 PM I thought it was crystal clear, none of the bonus's are named so they all stack. The base rage STR and CON are un-named bonus's so those are all easy to say they stack. The base rage will save bonus is "moral" so that would require additional verbage without making the new bonus an un-named bonus.

Anyway's I know exaustion can be nasty but for the additional bonus from a feat I think it's a fair trade off.
